ideas?...Fiji, Hawaii, Italy, Carmel, somewhere where we don't need to be on a boat, :) maybe a cabin up in Tahoe for the winter?? i'd like to be somewhere fun, romanitc this winter to celebrate being with my sweetheart for 2 years! hopefully i won't get any comments about brokeback, butt ass or carrots...

Atomic Force Microscopy

so my boss asked me to be apart of a project which involves using atomic force microscopy!! yay!! (really) this technology is relatively new (1985-7ish) so i'm pretty excited to be able to get some experience with it! i'm going over to learn more about the AFM at the mission bay campus with a postdoc tomorrow....can't wait! i know its weird that i'm so into this, but i'm hoping to keep expanding my skillset to build a stronger resume....but also, because this technology allows you to look at proteins at an atomic level...awesome!

Cave Woman for Bay to Breakers

alright, so i'm actually going to be riding on a float during the bay to breakers event next sunday as a cave woman! yay! and i'm working on designing my own costume...leopard print with some other clothes i have and we'll see what i come up with...I'll post pics once i have them.....:) from dressing up as a cave woman to riding on a float and excessive drinking, this will be fun! hahaha!

How Well do You Know YourselF?

Alright, so I've been thinking about this one question for the past year and have yet to come up with a definite answer. Sometimes I think I know, but later I find out that I really don't. Or maybe I do, and don't want to come to terms with it, maybe it's something I don't want. I wish I could meet some metaphysicist who will give me some understanding about "self" and all that stuff....life's too crazy to be blind...for too long anyway...hopefully I'll become aware someday soon...ahhhh...all i know right now is that I want to go home.....work sucks!

Beach Weather this Weekend?

I'm totally ready for going down to the beach this Sunday....it's a little jog from my place and I really feel like I need to get into shape and tan a bit..maybe bring a good book, and just relax with a volleyball under my head. I've been working like a dog and need a break!
